Steve Hedouin, Managing Director of Hub Malaysia, UD Trucks, expressed his appreciation for Sunmax’s trust in the brand, stating: “UD Trucks is honoured that Sunmax chose the heavy-duty Quester models to support its expanding business. Designed for smart logistics, the Quester range continues to innovate to offer smart logistic solution, offering greater efficiency to meet the demands of a rapidly growing and changing market.
“Renowned for its proven performance and durability, the Quester truck range delivers enhanced fuel and cost efficiency, improved productivity, safety and uptime, helping businesses overcome operational challenges more effectively while optimising their bottom line. The eight new trucks consist of four Quester CWE models, along with two each of the Quester GWE and GKE models, which would be used for diesel and fuel transport across Peninsular Malaysia. The Quester CWE and GWE models feature a 6×4 axle configuration with horsepower ranging from 330hp to 440hp, while the Quester GKE model has a 4×2 axle configuration with 390hp.
All trucks are equipped with the 11-litre GH11E engine that is designed to deliver high torque output and fuel efficiency through low engine speed operation. They also come with nine- and 12-speed gearboxes and full air brake system plus an auxiliary engine brake system.
Incorporated in 2019, Sunmax’s business dealings involve the wholesale and transportation of petrol, diesel and lubricants, with a focus on the supply of fuel and diesel to bunker ships.
