Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd introduced the new Dongfeng Prime Mover VL450 (DFH4180A) to provide more options for the local market.

Available in a 4×2 configuration with Gross Combination Weight (GCW) of 80,000kg, the VL450 is designed to meet the needs of heavy-duty applications with a focus on power, environmental compliance, safety, driver comfort and competitive pricing.
General Manager Benjamin Kek highlighted the key features of the VL450. He pointed out that the new VL450 was powered by the Dongfeng dCi450-51 Euro 5 engine; a six-cylinder, water-cooled turbocharged, high-pressure common rail engine that produced 450hp at 1,800rpm and a maximum torque of 2,080Nm.
“This high torque is essential for heavy-duty applications, especially when navigating steep inclines and gradients. The VL450 is compliant with Euro 5 emission standards,” Kek continued. “It is designed to minimise pollutants and harmful emissions, and contribute to cleaner air and a healthier environment…..”
