Hong Seng Group started a road show at its branches since early July to introduce the new Euro V Hohan Max prime mover. The Group claimed that this model was the best in quality and performance, and the most saleable in China.
Hohan Max Prime Mover: A Blend of Innovation, Performance, and Driver Comfort
“This is a brand-new model in the Hohan series and features a modern and stylish appearance. The Hohan Max comes with two engine options – Weichai or MC – and offers four variants to provide customers with more alternatives. The WP13G engine is the world’s first commercial diesel engine with a thermal efficiency of 52.28 per cent. It incorporates advanced technologies to optimise combustion and reduce friction loss, delivering high torque at low speed, high horsepower, robust starting power and excellent acceleration performance. The Weichai engine options include 460hp and 550hp while the MC engines offer two variants: MC-13 with 540hp and MC-11 with 430hp,” said Group Managing Director Dato’ Seri Teoh Hai Hin.
He continued: “The Hohan Max is equipped with a highly efficient, long-life drive axle from SFK and the seventh-generation S-AMT16 intelligent 16-speed gearbox, which offers quick response and transmission efficiency of up to 99.8 per cent. It also features a long oil change, thanks to its built-in oil filter. The system’s extensive engine operation data analysis and AMT enable precise exchange of engine and transmission data with new calibration, resulting in a fuel saving of 15.5 per cent.”
Fuel efficiency is further improved by two per cent, he pointed out, thanks to its aerodynamics design, which included a streamlined cab roof and low rolling resistance tyres.
“The Hohan Max is developed with a driver-centric approach. Its full air suspension system enhances driver comfort by reducing noise, harshness and road vibration that could cause discomfort and fatigue. The dashboard is designed to be clear and simple, featuring a functional multimedia large screen that is easy to use. It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, intelligent voice control, fault query and vehicle monitoring. In addition, the new prime mover includes a double bed, ensuring the driver could rest well and have a great night’s sleep,” he added.
When asked about safety features, he highlighted that the Hohan Max had a wide windscreen and Y-direction curved surface to offer a broader view. Other safety features included the 360-degree camera for eliminating blind spots, upgraded lighting with LED headlamps and flashing tail lamps to alert rear vehicles to prevent collision.
“The cab has undergone three impact tests and it has a high-strength body that meets international collision regulations. Optional features include retarders and an Advance Driver Assistance System (ADAS) with Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS) for the premium model. For Malaysia, it comes standard with telematics.”
It is also worth mentioning that the driver could start the truck’s engine by pressing the start button located on the door, eliminating the need to climb into the truck. This feature offers added convenience and, according to him, made the Hohan Max the first truck in China to offer this functionality.
To demonstrate its reliability and durability, he noted that the Hohan Max was tested in a first-class laboratory at the Golmud plateau at an altitude of 4,768 metres. It also underwent rigorous testing in extreme conditions, from the scorching heat of Turpan at 50°C to the frigid cold of the Heihe River at -40°C.
“The Hohan Max would be available in 6×2, 6×4 and 4×2 configurations. Apart from haulage, Hong Seng is also targeting the sensitive cargo sector such as oil and gas, and flammable chemicals. Customers could view the new Hohan Max at Hong Seng branches. As of now, our company has already received some orders and pre-orders are available,” he concluded.
全新豪瀚Max首次亮相大马

他指出，得益于空气动力学设计，包括流线型的驾驶室顶部和低滚动阻力轮胎，进一步将燃油效率提高了2%。
“豪瀚Max在开发时，以驾驶员为中心。其全空气悬架系统可减少可能导致驾驶员不适和疲劳的噪音、声振粗糙度和道路振动，提高他们的舒适度。仪表盘设计简洁明了，配有功能齐全的多媒体大屏，操作简单。支持Wi-Fi、蓝牙、智能语音控制、故障查询及车辆监控。此外，这款新牵引车还配备了一张双人床，确保驾驶员能够充分休息并睡个好觉。”他补充说。
询及安全功能时，他表示，豪瀚Max拥有宽大的挡风玻璃和Y方向曲面，可提供更广阔的视野。其他安全功能包括可消除盲点的360度摄像头、升级后的LED前照灯，以及用于提醒后方车辆，防止碰撞的闪烁车尾灯。
“这款车型的驾驶室经过了三项碰撞测试，而且还拥有符合国际碰撞法规的高强度车身。其高级车型可选配缓速器、高级驾驶员辅助系统 (ADAS)、车道偏离警告系统 (LDWS) 和前方碰撞警告系统 (FCWS)。在大马市场方面，远程信息处理是标配。”
更值得一提的是，驾驶员只需按下车门上的启动按钮，无需爬进卡车即可启动卡车引擎。据他指出，这一功能增加了便利性，使豪瀚Max成为中国第一辆具有此功能的卡车。
他指出，为了证明其可靠和耐用性，豪瀚Max在格尔木高原海拔4，768米的一流实验室进行了测试。它还经历了极端条件下的严格测试，从吐鲁番50°C的酷暑到黑河-40°C的严寒。
“豪瀚Max将提供6×2、6×4 和 4×2车型。除了运输以外，丰成还瞄准敏感货运领域，如石油和天然气以及易燃化学品。客户可以在丰成分行参观新款豪瀚Max。截至目前，我们已经收到了一些订单，也欢迎客户预购。”他总结说。
