Monzone Invests in Service Capability

Singapore based temperature control experts Monzone Air Conditioning Pte Ltd are continuing to invest in its after sales service facilities with investments including a 7.5 million ringgit expansion for its Shah Alam service centre. This was revealed by company CEO Teoh Chiang Hoe during an exclusive interview in March held at the company’s Singapore HQ. Monzone specialises in a wide range of temperature control solutions for the food and medical sectors, especially in Malaysia and Singapore, and are the Thermo King agents for the region.

Monzone Enhances Service Capability Through Strategic Investmen

According to Teoh after sales service is the company’s key focus at the moment. “The market for the type of equipment we sell is growing, but there is competition coming from China,” he explained. “With quality western products like Thermo King, our main arguments have to be quality and after sales service.”

Monzone currently provides a 24/7 service in Johor, Kedah, Shah Alam and Penang. With perishable goods the need for prompt service is vital, and so Monzone is able to provide service 24 hours a day with no more than an hour’s notice.

In Shah Alam the company’s 7.5 million ringgit investment includes the purchase of new, larger premises – a three-storey building, which has enabled the company to service more vehicles and employ more service, sales and technical staff. Monzone currently has more than 100 employees in Singapore and Malaysia.

Teoh emphasised that he still wishes to expand more on the service side, but much depends on the economy and the state of the market. “This year the market has been down,” he said, “but we hope the market will improve in the near future.”

Monzone will be participating in the upcoming Food & Hotel Malaysia 2017 (FHM 2017) from 26-29th September 2017 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Please visit them at booth number 2611.
