Yamaguchi officially assumed the role on 24th April, 2025, succeeding Shunsuke Okazoe, who has returned to Japan to take up the position of Vice President, Japan Sales Division at Isuzu Motors Ltd.

A graduate of Toyo University, Yamaguchi began his career with Isuzu Motors in 1997. He has assigned to the International Operations Department, handling markets such as Russia, Ukraine, and other CIS countries, as well as various South-West Asian markets. He later served with Isuzu Motors South Africa, where he played a key role in strengthening the company’s commercial vehicle business

Speaking about his move to Malaysia, Yamaguchi acknowledged the maturity of Isuzu’s operations and the brand’s strong foundation built over the past two decades.

Isuzu Malaysia remains a model of excellence in the global perspective. The operations here have established a base of loyal customers who recognize the strengths and capabilities of Isuzu vehicles. This augurs well for the establishment of life-long customers of the brand. However, we need to continuously strive to make every customer experience a positive one. I hope to work with the team and our dealers to bring customer satisfaction to the next level,” said Yamaguchi.

Among his key initiatives, Yamaguchi plans to broaden the range of in-house services offered at dealerships to ensure customers receive quality-assured services. Recognising the increasing number of Isuzu vehicles on Malaysian roads, he will also prioritise faster parts availability through enhanced warehousing and logistics processes.
