To gain deeper insights into current trends, emerging opportunities and future direction, Truck & Bus News spoke to three industry players: Benjamin Kek, General Manager of DongFeng Commercial Vehicle (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (DFCVM); Dato’ Donald Choo, CEO of Handal BCM Sdn Bhd; and Gwee Chin Li, Head of Business Development at R&A Marketing Sdn Bhd (Distributor of CAM).
According to Kek and Gwee, Malaysia’s commercial van market remained stable with consistent growth. Gwee highlighted strong demand in goods delivery and passenger shuttle segments that was driven by Malaysia’s appeal to tourists and investors. This boosted van use across various sectors.
Kek observed that while logistics and Small Medium Enterprise (SME) e-commerce still contributed significantly to demand, tourism recovery reignited interest in passenger transport applications, especially mini tour buses……
