The Association of Malaysian Hauliers (AMH) has reaffirmed its commitment to industry modernisation following a high-profile fleet handover ceremony hosted by MAN Truck & Bus Malaysia at the Glenmarie Hotel and Golf Resort.

AMH officials attended the Customer Celebration Dinner on January 3, 2026, joining key transport industry stakeholders to witness the handover of 10 new MAN prime movers to one of its prominent members, Bukit Waja Sdn Bhd. The handover represents a strategic step in fleet modernisation for Bukit Waja, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.

During the event, AMH representatives engaged with Friedrich Baumann, Member of the Executive Board and Head of Sales & Customer Solutions at MAN Truck & Bus SE, who provided an outlook on the global commercial vehicle industry and evolving market access. Baumann also highlighted MAN’s long-standing heritage as a manufacturer and its strong presence in Malaysia for over 35 years, as well as the importance of lower total cost of ownership (TCO) and driver-preferred vehicles in addressing the ongoing driver shortage.

The ceremony was led by Marc Appelt, Managing Director of MAN Truck & Bus Malaysia, and General Manager Ts. Thayalan Subramaniam. AMH members and guests participated in traditional Chinese New Year celebrations, including the Yee Sang and Yam Seng rituals, to foster stronger ties between hauliers and the German manufacturer.

AMH congratulates Bukit Waja Sdn Bhd on their fleet expansion and extends our appreciation to MAN Truck & Bus Malaysia’s leadership and team for a well-organised and engaging evening. We look forward to continued collaboration in strengthening and advancing Malaysia’s haulage industry,” the association said.
