MAN introduces the TGE Next Level range at Busworld 2025 with new assistance systems, digital cockpit, and premium interiors.
MAN TGE Perfect Solution for Passenger Transport – MAN’s Daniel Holbein
The newly revamped MAN TGE Coach, MAN TGE Intercity, and MAN TGE Kombi made their debut at the Busworld Europe 2025, held in Brussels, Belgium, earlier this month. All of the new MAN TGE models are based on the redesigned base vehicle called the TGE Next Level.
The update focused on safety and comfort for the passengers with new assistance systems. The new blind spot and collision warning systems, as well as the emergency brake assist, active lane assist, intelligent speed assist, and attention and fatigue warning systems, improve active safety for passengers, drivers, and other road users.
The new TGE minibuses and van can also be equipped with the optional Cruise Assist Plus. This system works by maintaining distance, speed, and lane position. In traffic jams and emergency situations, it can automatically brake the vehicle and secure it by activating the hazard warning lights if necessary.
MAN also gave special treatment to the drivers. The new cockpit features a digital instrument cluster, ergonomic multifunction steering wheel, keyless start, electronic parking brake, smartphone integration, and the new automatic gear lever on the steering wheel.
The central MAN Media Van touch display serves as the new command centre in the vehicle and, in addition to operating the infotainment system, also allows the vehicle functions to be controlled. It comes as standard with a 10.4-inch display, DAB+ tuner, and Bluetooth interface. Additional functions such as navigation, voice control, media streaming and a 12.9-inch display can be ordered as options.
“Thanks to their flexibility and wide range of equipment options, our combis and minibuses offer the perfect solution for every passenger transport job,” said Daniel Holbein, Head of MAN Business Unit Van. “The MAN TGE Next Level, which represents the most comprehensive update in our model history, forms the basis for our customised solutions with complete vehicles ex works and from MAN Individual as an in-house refinement centre.”

Available Variants
Available with 16 or 19 passenger seats, the MAN TGE Intercity is ideal as a shuttle bus for schools, clubs, or hotels. A wheelchair space in the rear can be installed by request if four seats are removed from the 16-seater.
Meanwhile, the TGE Coach, which is only available in a 16-seat configuration, offers privacy glazing, high-quality leather seats, extra legroom, wood-effect flooring, ambient lighting, and a spacious luggage compartment to ensure VIP travel experiences.
Both the TGE Intercity and Coach have an electric outward-swinging door, separate air conditioning in the passenger compartment, and luggage racks with service sets. The minibuses are available in 120kW (163 hp) rear-wheel drive mode, with a manual 6-speed gearbox (Intercity only) or 8-speed automatic transmission.
In addition to the TGE Intercity and Coach minibuses, MAN also offers the TGE Kombi in Basic, Shuttle, and Mobility variants. The 3.5-tonne van can carry up to eight passengers and can be customised with different drive types, roof heights, and wheelbases.
The Mobility variant also offers the option of transporting people with disabilities. Wheelchair users can access the rear area via a manual folding ramp or the optional electrically operated lift. They can then secure their wheelchairs in the passenger compartment.
