Chinese automakers are badly impacted by the Coronavirus, and Wuhan, which is one of the industrial hotspots, has been affected the most.
Dongfeng Delivers Epidemic Preventative Vehicles
Not only many vehicle manufacturers have their production based in Wuhan, most of the automotive auto parts are manufactured from here. Wuhan-based Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd (DFCV) is no exception in that they have had to break their production to fight against the epidemic.
With the 6th batch of Dongfeng KR’s dedicated chassis arriving at Changsa, DFCV has already delivered more than 100 epidemic preventive vehicles. This made DFCV the first automotive maker to have engaged in prevention of the epidemic, even without fully resuming operations. It was also the first company that assisted Zoomlion Environmental Industry Co., Ltd by modifying its chassis to suit their epidemic prevention vehicles.
The involvement began when DFCV knew Zoomlion Environmental Industry would donate 15 epidemic preventive vehicles to Wuhan Municipal Commission of Urban Management on 26th January, the second day of the Lunar new year.
