The handover of the 2 largest Palfinger loader cranes in Malaysia, the PK150002, took place at the Putrajaya Marriot Hotel in Selangor, Malaysia on 26th July, in a joint effort between Palfinger Asia Pacific and its dealer, KTC Crane & Equipment. The event gathered more than a hundred customers, operators as well as KTC’s partner and suppliers.
The PK150002 that was delivered to Ngaim from Curio Pack Sdn Bhd featured a G-boom on a Scania truck while the one handed over to Ngam from Metro Logistics crane featured an E-boom on a Nissan truck.
“Our brand Palfinger stands for the most innovative, reliable and cost effective lifting solutions for use on commercial vehicles and the maritime field. As a global market leader, we promise the best in class solutions for every challenge, making our customers’ lives easier in a sustainable way. ‘Lifetime Excellence’ is our promise. And for our customers, this means uncompromising top performance, innovative features, shorter downtime and higher resale value,” said Palfinger Asia Pacific Pte Ltd General Manager James Liu.
However, he continued, in today's market, producing the best equipment in the industry did not translate to market leadership. “We need the presence of a strong local distributor to further strengthen our competitive advantage by helping us understand the market and identify the right product that fits the market requirements perfectly. Our global sales and service network with more than 200 independent general importers and approximately 5,000 outlets guarantees optimum proximity to our customers.”
In Malaysia, he stressed that the company’s partnership with KTC was crucial to its success over the past decade. He said KTC’s ability to provide Malaysian customers profitable and sustainable lifting solutions in a customer-friendly and flexible manner was the key to the company’s success.
“On top of that, their ability to provide exceptional after-sales service allows them to build a successful long term relationship with our Malaysian customers. Personally I have a lot of respect for our partners, K.K. Par and Y.K. Yong. Their humble and approachable attitude, coupled with their passion for the business, convinced us that we have the right partners to continue growing our market share and serve our customers,” he added.
The PK150002 is a performance loader crane manufactured and assembled in Palfinger’s Austrian factory and has a maximum hydraulic outreach of 21.5 metres and a maximum lifting capacity of 30,000kg. It also has essential features that enhance performance such as the Paltronic 50 system, which has easy to understand error codes, making it easier to service and troubleshoot. The AOS, an active oscillation suppression system that reduces the material stress and wear on the extension boom system, retains resale value. Another feature is the radio remote control, which allows the operator to move and secure cargo after cargo, while operating the crane from the truck bed in a single-man operation. It is also equipped with a High Power Lifting System (HPLS), which increases the lifting capacity of the crane by up to 10 per cent with reduced operating speed.
Various equipment, including the P240A Access Platform, T26A Hookloader, PK8500 and the reliable workhorse PK32080, were brought to the event venue to allow customers to have a closer look and find out more about them.
