Daimler Truck’s BEV Sales Showed Significant Growth in 2025

Daimler Truck‘s Asia business recorded a modest growth in 2025, standing out as one of the more resilient regions for the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer amid an overall decline in global unit sales.

According to figures released by Daimler Truck Holding AG, Trucks Asia sold 107,055 units in 2025, up from 102,870 units in 2024, representing a year-on-year increase of 4 per cent. In the fourth quarter of 2025, unit sales in the region reached 30,325 vehicles, virtually unchanged from the same period in 2024 (30,298 units).

Asia’s strong performance contrasted with weaker conditions in other key markets, especially North America. Trucks North America reported a sharp decline in both full-year and fourth-quarter sales, contributing to an overall 8 per cent drop in Daimler Truck‘s global unit sales to 422,510 vehicles in 2025, compared with 460,409 units the year before.

Daimler Truck said the fourth quarter was its strongest of the year 2025, with total sales of 117,974 vehicles. However, this still marked a 5 per cent decline from the prior-year quarter. Mercedes-Benz Trucks recorded a notable increase in Q4 sales, while Daimler Buses remained stable.

The Asia figures were reported under Daimler Truck‘s updated segment structure following the integration of its China and India operations into the Mercedes-Benz Trucks segment from January 1, 2025. “The presentation for the 2025 sales figures and the restated prior-year comparison is based on the new segment composition,” the company noted.

Beyond regional performance, Daimler Truck saw a strong growth in battery-electric vehicle sales, which rose by 67 per cent year-on-year to 6,726 units in 2025, indicating accelerating electrification across its global portfolio.

Daimler Truck is due to provide further details on its financial performance and outlook for 2026 at its Annual Results Conference in March.
