APAD Revokes LDT Metal Trading Licence After Fatal Crash

Land Public Transport Agency (APAD).

Following a fatal Kajang toll accident, APAD revoked LDT Metal Trading’s operator licence over failure to meet GPS and safety regulations.

LDT Metal Trading Cannot Operate Vehicles Registered under the Revoked Licence

The Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) revoked the operating licence of LDT Metal Trading on October 2, 2025, following a fatal accident at the Bukit Kajang Toll Plaza that claimed the life of an infant and injured seven others.

The incident, which occurred on September 27, 2025, saw a lorry carrying scrap goods collide with four other vehicles at the Kajang SILK Expressway toll plaza. APAD said the seriousness of the crash and the resulting casualties required firm action.

APAD‘s investigations found that LDT Metal Trading had failed to comply with the Global Positioning System (GPS) regulations by not installing it on its licensed commercial vehicles. The transport company also failed to prioritise the safety of other road users.

Acting under Section 62 of the Land Public Transport Act 2010 [Act 715], APAD exercised its authority to revoke the company’s operator licence (201403193195), effective October 2. This means LDT Metal Trading can no longer operate or provide services using any vehicle previously registered under the revoked licence.

In its official announcement, APAD also stressed that it will not compromise on any offences involving the dangerous driving of land public transport vehicles that may cause accidents and endanger the safety of road users.

APAD also reminds all licensed operators to always comply with the licensing requirements set by the agency to avoid incidents that could result in their Operator License being revoked,” the agency concluded.
