In a significant step towards sustainable luxury mobility in Malaysia, Hap Seng Trucks Distribution (HSTD) – the authorised distributor of Mercedes-Benz Vans – unveiled the new Mercedes-Benz EQV 300 during an exclusive media preview recently.

EQV 300: Where Intelligent Safety Meets Electric Elegance

This marked the first official debut of the model under HSTD’s stewardship, offering Malaysians their first look at the latest generation of the all-electric MPV in its Avantgarde trim.

“This unveiling of the Mercedes-Benz EQV 300 represents a meaningful evolution in how we define luxury, performance, and sustainability. With its enhanced digital experience, redesigned styling, and commitment to sustainability, the new EQV is a statement of our direction and an invitation to drive forward with purpose,” said Derrick Sim, CEO of HSTD.

The refreshed EQV 300 has been reimagined and updated for modern mobility. It combines elegant aesthetics, intelligent digital features, and advanced electric performance. The Avantgarde specification adds a touch of sophistication with Multibeam LED headlights, chrome detailing with Mercedes-Benz branding at the rear, newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels, and refined paint selections that reinforce its executive character.

The EQV 300’s interior exudes a luxurious, lounge-inspired feel, designed to provide a first-class experience on the move. It is equipped with dual 12.3-inch widescreens, redesigned air vents, capacitive-touch steering controls, and 64-colour ambient lighting that enhance both aesthetics and usability. Complementing the refined atmosphere is the Burmester surround sound system, which features 15 strategically placed speakers and a bass reflex box to deliver an immersive 640-watt audio performance through cutting-edge multichannel technology. Premium Lugano leather upholstery and power-operated sliding doors on both sides further elevate comfort and accessibility for every occupant.

Powered by a 90 kWh usable lithium-ion battery and a front-mounted electric motor delivering 150 kW (204 PS) and 365 Nm of torque, the EQV 300 boasts a driving range of up to 418 km (NEDC). It supports AC charging at up to 11 kW and DC fast charging at up to 110 kW, enabling a 10–80 per cent charge in just about 40 minutes. Drivers can choose from four drive modes — Comfort, Sport, Eco, and Maximum Range (ECO+), with a top speed of 160 km/h — offering a balance of refinement and responsiveness.

True to Mercedes-Benz’s reputation for safety, the EQV 300 comes equipped with a full suite of driver assistance systems, including Active Brake Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Active Distance Assist Distronic, Tyre Pressure Monitoring, and Attention Assist. It also includes multiple airbags, a Parking Package with a 360° camera, and Active Parking Assist to simplify parking in tight spaces.

Aligned with Malaysia’s Green Goals

In alignment with Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), the EQV 300 underscores Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to driving a more sustainable automotive future.

To commemorate the launch, HSTD is offering a special introductory package that includes a complimentary Mercedes-Benz Wallbox charger, three years of scheduled maintenance, and a RM10,000 booking rebate. The vehicle comes with a two-year warranty (or 200,000 km, whichever comes first), while the high-voltage battery is covered for eight years or up to 160,000 km.

Priced from an estimated RM450,000 (on-the-road, without insurance), the EQV 300 is available for both private and corporate registration.
