The 14th edition of Automechanika Kuala Lumpur is set to open its doors next week from 15th to 17th  May at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Automechanika KL 2025 Returns with Bigger Showcase

Occupying Halls 1 to 6 with a total area of 12,538 sqm, this year’s show highlights a significantly expanded footprint and a broader focus that reflects the evolving global automotive landscape, from electrification to lifestyle and culture.

More than 310 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions will showcase the latest technologies, products, and services tailored to every corner of the automotive supply chain. As global trends lean into environmental responsibility, Automechanika Kuala Lumpur offers a platform that embraces innovation and sustainability while also celebrating the automotive experience beyond the workshop.

Fiona Chiew, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, noted that the event has grown from its aftermarket roots to become a vital meeting point for the entire mobility and logistics value chain. “This expansion reflects Malaysia’s rising regional influence, powered by infrastructure growth and economic development. Automechanika Kuala Lumpur now provides strategic access to both domestic and international automotive markets,” she said.

One of the key highlights is the return of the Automotive Mobility Solutions Zone, spotlighting advancements in electrification, digitalisation, AI, and cloud computing aimed at improving supply chain efficiency, customer satisfaction, and sustainable operations. Companies like EV Connection will present their range of EV charging products and services, while Sime Darby will showcase their integrated solutions for industrial and automotive needs.

Across other thematic zones, visitors can explore a rich mix of product categories, from passenger and commercial vehicles to repair and maintenance, body and paint, car care, detailing, fuels, and accessories. The exhibition also embraces outdoor, motorsport, classic car, camping, and caravan lifestyles, creating a holistic experience for all sectors of the industry. Key players include King Hup Motors and Rimbunan Kuasa (MINI and BMW spare parts), Schmaco (suspension components), Vanli (OEM parts), Alienworld (car tuning and diagnostics), Launch (scanning tools), Hans Tools (hand tools), Areon (car accessories), and TecAlliance (data solutions for the aftermarket). Other notable names such as Auto Data Technology, Balev, BASSO, Emerald, Lucas, Mega Champion, and YonMing Group will also take part.

With a week to go, the show has already attracted pre-registrations from professionals across 47 countries and regions, including Australia, China, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, the UK, the US, and Vietnam, highlighting its global appeal.

Beyond the exhibition, the show will offer a dynamic fringe programme. The Automotive Mobility Solutions Conference, running from 15th to 16th May, will feature over 29 speakers discussing cutting-edge topics such as the energy transition, digitalisation, smart mobility, and supply chain strategies. Notable speakers include Adrian Hong of Stellantis, Anuj Jain from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Johan Larsson of Volvo Malaysia, Jitin Girdhar from Auto Data Technology, Ryan Ooi of Thunder Software, and Umar Zakir Abdul Hamid from Proton. Industry leaders from Bosch Rexroth, EV Connection, and Vietsol will also present.

Hands-on learning returns with the Collision Repair Training Workshop, offering live demonstrations and practical sessions in spray painting, body and paint work, and sustainable workshop solutions. Participating companies include Launch, Esnet Academy, Alienworld, Autonest, Sagola, and others.

Adding a vibrant cultural dimension to the event, autoFEST@KL invites visitors to engage with the automotive lifestyle. This segment blends entertainment with automotive passion, featuring the EMMA Malaysia audio modification showcase, esports activities, and a curated display of classic and JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) cars. The festivities will culminate in the autoFEST@KL Music Party on 16th May (7:00–9:00 pm), offering live performances by local musicians and DJs for both industry participants and auto enthusiasts to enjoy.
