Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Commercial Vehicles (MBMCV) recently signed a service contract with Syarikat Logistik Petikemas Sdn Bhd, a local integrated logistics service provider, formalising the renewal of its Repair and Maintenance (R&M) package.

Syarikat Logistik Petikemas Renews Service Contract with Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Commercial Vehicles

The service contract was signed by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Vice President, Commercial Vehicles, Albert Yee; Senior Manager, After-Sales Commercial Vehicles, Tan Kien Kee; and Syarikat Logistik Petikemas, Finance Manager Rafidi Abdul Rahman; Business and Development Manager Pandian Krishnan; and Senior Accounts Executive Umi Latifah.

The contract renewal entails an additional two years of service until October 2019 or 200,000km. The renewal upgrades the previous contract, established in 2012, which consisted of a five-year term and mileage of 600,000km, whichever occurred earlier.

“We are pleased that Syarikat Logistik Petikemas continues to trust our after-sales services to provide maintenance for their fleet of trucks. We remain committed to continue delivering peace-of-mind to our customers to enable their business to prosper,” said Yee.

The R&M package includes full scope coverage, including service, repair and maintenance, wear and tear, electrical, preventive and proactive maintenance. Assuring comprehensive coverage at a fixed monthly payment, Petikemas could enjoy hassle-free business operations for the next two years.

MBMCV is confident that the partnership with Petikemas would achieve new milestones in the future. “Since the beginning of this partnership, our goal has been to maintain an excellent support system for Petikemas’ Mercedes-Benz truck fleet. We are confident that this extension of our after-sales services will suit their requirements and optimise the use of their fleet with maximum uptime,” explained Yee.

“As a company that is involved in the haulage business, our trucks undergo severe usage due to the distance we cover every day. It is important that we maintain our trucks in roadworthy condition always. Our ongoing partnership with MBMCV enables us to get the job done efficiently and in a timely manner,” explained Pandian at the signing ceremony.

Syarikat Logistik Petikemas is MBMCV’s first service contract with a container haulage operator. The company purchased its commercial vehicles through authorised dealer partner Cycle & Carriage Bintang Berhad in 2012.
