Upgraded Melor–Kg Pak Badol Route Officially Handed Over, Boosting Kelantan–Terengganu Connectivity

The Minister of Works, YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, officiated the handover of the upgrading project for Route FT003 from the Melor, Ketereh Intersection to Kampung Pak Badol, covering a length of 3.3 kilometres. Also present was the Chief Minister of Kelantan, YAB Dato’ Panglima Perang Ustaz Dato’ Haji Mohd Nassuruddin Daud.

3.3 km Four-Lane Upgrade with New Bridges and Safer Intersections

This project, under Rolling Plan 3 of the 11th Malaysia Plan (RMK-11), commenced on 3 November 2020 and was completed on 28 June 2025. It was implemented conventionally by the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR). The scope of works included the construction of a four-lane dual carriageway to JKR R5 standard, upgrading of an existing bridge, construction of a new bridge, upgrading of intersections, building a pedestrian overpass, installation of street lighting and traffic signals, relocation of utilities, and land acquisition.

The project increases traffic capacity, strengthens connectivity between the major towns of Kelantan and Terengganu, and benefits thousands of road users daily. It reflects the MADANI Government’s commitment to providing safe, comfortable, and high-quality infrastructure, thereby stimulating local socio-economic development.
