The Troop Truck platform by Holistic Solutions uses UD Trucks technology to empower young entrepreneur drivers in the construction sector.
Holistic Solutions to Double Concrete Fleet to 100 Units with UD Trucks
UD Trucks Thailand has delivered 10 Quester 350-horsepower units to Holistic Solutions Co., Ltd. to facilitate the expansion of its artificial intelligence-driven logistics platform, Troop Truck.
The handover supports the Thai company’s objective to double its ready-mixed concrete fleet from 50 to 100 vehicles within five years. This expansion is designed to meet growing market demands while providing career stability for its vocational drivers.
Polwut Teewaa, Chief Executive Officer of Flexi Force Group and Managing Director of Holistics Solution, said that the Truck Troop platform has entered its third year of development. Last year, the venture generated more than 36 million Thai Baht (around £850,000) in revenue from its driver-management services, amassing a profit of approximately 3 million Thai Baht (around £70,000).
Holistic Solutions entered the ready-mixed concrete sector after identifying a chronic shortage of qualified drivers among its human resources clients. In-depth analysis revealed that industry-wide wage structures and welfare provisions were insufficient to maintain a sustainable workforce.
“When we studied it seriously, we saw an opportunity to bring financial and HR knowledge together with technology to create a platform that doesn’t just meet client needs, but improves drivers’ quality of life simultaneously,” explained Teewaa.
The Troop Truck platform utilises real-time tracking to support its operators, whom the company refers to as “young entrepreneur drivers”. The system allows these drivers to monitor their income immediately upon completing each delivery.
Drivers also play an important part in shaping fleet management decisions, one of which was replacing older vehicles with a new fleet comprising UD Trucks models. According to the drivers, UD Trucks is the right choice for the company thanks to its modern technology and the ability to connect effectively with the Troop Truck platform.
So far, Holistics Solutions has purchased more than 40 UD Trucks units and plans to add a minimum of 10 vehicles annually. UD Trucks‘ commercial vehicles are expected to form the backbone of a 100-strong nationwide fleet within the next five years.
The business model includes a participatory management structure where drivers hold a collective 5 per cent stake in the platform. They receive a guaranteed income and hold the right to transfer their driving licence to new operators under specific conditions.
“The young entrepreneur drivers will have status as co-business owners, freedom to work, but with income guarantees and financial security. They have the chance to let money work for them when they no longer drive. This is an opportunity that this group of workers has never accessed before,” said Teewa.
The company anticipates significant growth in the construction sector in Eastern Thailand. Teewa noted that even capturing just 1 per cent of the regional market would be sufficient to ensure the platform’s sustainability.
“My goal is not just to create a platform, but to grow our employees with the company, becoming ‘Young Entrepreneurs’ in the new economy,” Teewaa added.
