UD Trucks Malaysia and ASAC Logistics Strengthen Long-Standing Fleet Partnership
UD Trucks Malaysia, through its official distributor, Tan Chong Industrial Equipment (TCIE) Sdn Bhd, delivered 28 units of Quester Prime Mover to its long-time customer, ASAC Logistics, late last month.
ASAC Logistics was founded in 1974 and has been Malaysia’s leading logistics provider, focusing on transportation and warehousing ever since. Its partnership with UD Trucks began 40 years ago, and the latest delivery of 28 UD Quester Prime Mover trucks reinforces their longstanding relationship.
The handover ceremony was held at ASAC Logistics‘ headquarters in Alor Setar, Kedah, and was attended by representatives from the three companies involved. It featured the handover of a symbolic key, a miniature truck, and a small gathering event.
UD Trucks Malaysia described its relationship with ASAC Logistics as “One Shared Vision”, saying, “From local deliveries to international logistics, ASAC Logistics continues to grow and evolve, powered by reliable UD Trucks on the road. Having delivered 28 units of Quester Prime Mover, this milestone further strengthens a partnership built on durability, performance, and proven reliability. For over four decades, UD Trucks remains ASAC’s trusted rebuy choice.”
The Quester is a heavy-duty truck engineered for demanding conditions, built around six major features: wide range, fuel efficiency, driver efficiency, safety, uptime, and productivity. It offers a variety of configurations and wheelbase options covering applications from long haul and construction to waste management and general cargo.
The truck’s high-torque engines and robust transmissions maximise payload capacity, while the ESCOT transmission, combined with GH engines, delivers strong low-rpm torque to reduce gear shifts and fuel consumption. The SCR system uses AdBlue to cut nitrogen oxides, contributing to cleaner and more efficient operations.
Additionally, the Quester places strong emphasis on driver comfort and safety. The cabin features an ergonomically designed dashboard with intuitive controls and adjustable suspension seats that absorbs road vibrations to reduce fatigue on long journeys.
Meanwhile, the truck’s safety system is supported by advanced braking systems, which include auxiliary brakes and an optional hydraulic retarder. On the reliability side, durable components, long service intervals, and UD Telematics work together to minimise downtime.
“We are proud to be featured by UD Trucks Malaysia as a long-standing partner in our journey from local distribution to nationwide and international logistics. With 28 units of Quester Prime Movers in our fleet, UD Trucks continues to support ASAC Logistics in delivering safe, reliable and efficient logistics solutions to our customers across Malaysia,” ASAC Logistics noted.
ASAC Logistics, in its official statement, also thanked UD Trucks and TCIE, and said that it looks forward to “growing together and driving higher service standards for the industry”.
