With the increasing demand for reliable transport solutions the authorised sole distributor of UD Trucks in Malaysia, Tan Chong Industrial Equipment Sdn Bhd (TCIE), delivered a UD Quester to Sun Tang Trading in a recent handover ceremony in Cameron Highlands.
UD Trucks Delivered to Sun Tang Trading
The Cameron Highlands-based trading company ordered a UD Quester 8×4 rigid cargo truck to meet the growing demands of trading and transportation in the agricultural industry. This is the first time a complete and modern 8×4 Japanese heavy duty truck was sold in Cameron Highlands.
TCIE’s delivery of the Quester truck to Sun Tang Trading was commemorated with a ‘vibrant’ handover ceremony by Choong Sin Nen on behalf of Sun Tang Trading, accompanied by senior management of TCIE. As it was the last day of the 2016 Chinese New Year, also known as Chap Goh Mei, the event was made auspicious with a lion dance for prosperity and good fortune.
Speaking at the event, Lui Tai Sum, Senior Manager – Business Development and Product Planning of TCIE, said: “We are extremely proud of this moment as our customer has continued to put his confidence in our product and service offerings. The Quester 8×4 offers customers a unique experience in durability and adaptability within its class that is currently unavailable in the market.”
Wong King Yoon, Chief Executive Officer of TCIE, shared: “We are always looking at ways to innovate and produce solutions to meet the demands and needs of our customers. Today’s occasion is a clear indication of Quester gaining success in the region.”
The Quester is part of UD Trucks’ new offering of trucks and services primarily designed for Asia and other growth markets. The Japanese heavy duty commercial truck is known for its wide range of applications, from long haulage and distribution to construction and mining, allowing it to meet the unique needs of growth markets at affordable prices.
“As our trucks operate daily from Cameron Highlands to Singapore, we need trucks that are durable and dependable, as well as backed by excellent after-sales support, which UD Trucks and TCIE had been providing us through the years,” said Choong, business owner of Sun Tang Trading.
Another Cameron Highlands-based customer of TCIE, Hong Ming Engineering Works, also purchased Quester Tippers for its cement supply services. Being extremely satisfied with the after-sales service received from UD Trucks, the customer recently ordered two Quester 8×4 tipper trucks to add to its fleet.
Currently, UD Trucks, distributed exclusively by Tan Chong Industrial Equipment, is one of the leading truck manufacturers in Malaysia with more than 41,000 trucks on the road.
