Scania Singapore has handed over the first P420A4x2NA Super truck to SNL Logistics, featuring 8% better fuel efficiency and advanced safety.

Scania Singapore has officially handed over the first unit of its P420A4x2NA Super truck to SNL Logistics Pte Ltd. The handover ceremony took place at the SNL Logistics office, where Lim Jing He, Director of SNL Logistics, received the key to the vehicle from Oscar Wyckman, Country Manager of Scania Singapore.
Speaking during the ceremony, Lim explained the reasons behind his company’s decision to invest in the Scania P-series Super.
“We decided to invest in the new Scania Super for our container transport operations because of the great value it offers. Scania trucks still deliver the highest torque in the industry with great fuel efficiency, safety, and reliability. Additionally, the air suspension reduces the wear and tear of our chassis-mounted generator. This will continue to contribute to the profitability and sustainability of our business,” he said.
The Scania P420A4x2NA Super is powered by a 420-horsepower, 13-litre engine, capable of producing 2,300 Nm of torque at 900 rpm. This engine is paired with the G33 gearbox, which has engineered to deliver maximum mechanical efficiency of up to 99.8 per cent while reducing internal losses by more than 50 per cent. This combination thus results in a reduction in fuel consumption and emissions of up to 8 per cent.
Aside from a powerful and efficient powertrain, the Super truck is also equipped with Scania‘s latest Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), which includes Blind Spot Warning (BSW) and Vulnerable Road User Collision Warning (VRUCW). Other safety features, such as Advanced Emergency Braking (AEB), Electronic Braking System (EBS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Traction Control, are standard for the truck.
Inside, the truck’s interior features a Smart & Safe dashboard, which offers a digital interface that allows drivers to personalise their workspace and is supported by a new telematics unit and sensor platform designed to meet the latest cybersecurity standards. For driver comfort, a 12.9-inch interactive infotainment display compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto has also been installed.
Engineered to maximise uptime, the P-series Super truck model features a “robust” air suspension system, which helps dampen vibrations to the chassis-mounted generator used by SNL Logistics. Visibility has also been enhanced through upgraded LED headlamps.
“Digital Services play an essential role for customers to maximise their business sustainability and profitability. Fleet Management System (FMS) provides vital information and insights to fleet operators about their fleet’s performance using the My Scania portal and Fleet app,” said Wyckman.
“Now, drivers can also have access to that data through the Scania Driver app. Drivers can use the app in English, Bahasa Melayu, Chinese, or Tamil to perform pre-departure checks, report defects instantly, and actively monitor their driving performance. And with ProDriver, our digital coaching service can equip truck drivers with the skills, knowledge, and fuel‑efficient driving habits needed to maximise performance, reduce costs, and raise overall driving standards,” he added.
