Scania strengthens its leadership by naming Fedel, Dewoon, and Carmo e Silva as EVPs to boost performance and competitiveness from 2025–2026.

Scania Plans to Stay Competitive by Revamping Its Organisational Structure

Scania announced on November 24, 2025, that it had appointed three Executive Board members: Stefano Fedel, Camilla Dewoon, and Anna Carmo e Silva.

Fedel will be the new Executive Vice President and Head of Scania Commercial, Dewoon will serve as the Executive Vice President and Head of Scania Group China, and Carmo e Silva is set to become the Executive Vice President and Head of Strategy and Communications. Fedel and Dewoon will begin their new roles respectively on January 1, 2026, while Carmo e Silva will start her new position on December 1, 2025.

Scania stated that these appointments are part of the company’s effort to accelerate performance, respond to shifting market conditions, and sharpen long-term competitiveness.

“The industry in which Scania operates is changing rapidly, driven by new technology, regionalisation and shifting market dynamics. To stay competitive, the company is reviewing its organisational structure and operational model to strengthen value creation, increase speed and simplify processes,” it wrote in its official statement.

Fedel will lead a newly formed unit called Scania Commercial, which is the result of the unification between the Sales and Marketing division and the Commercial Operations division. Scania Commercial is expected to bring together global market strategies, sales execution, and commercial development.

Born in 1970, Fedel holds a degree in Engineering of Materials and joined Scania in 2001. He has held several senior roles across markets and functions and currently holds the position of Executive Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing.

“Stefano brings valuable experience of our customers in markets around the world, in addition to a strong commercial mindset and solid international leadership. His ability to turn strategy into real business results, both short and long term, makes him well-suited to lead a unified Scania Commercial and strengthen our commercial position globally,” said Christian Levin, President and CEO of Scania.

Meanwhile, in China, where Scania had just opened its third global hub, Dewoon, as the new Executive Vice President and Head of Scania Group China, is tasked to “translate the company’s global priorities into successful local execution and accelerate its growth in Asia”.

Dewoon, born in 1973, joined Scania in 1998. She has held several leadership roles, including Head of Communications and Sustainability and has extensive experience in brand development, stakeholder engagement and international growth. Holding a Master’s degree in Economics, Dewoon currently holds the position of Head of China Governance at Scania.

Levin said, “Camilla has a proven track record of building strong brands, driving commercial development and navigating complex international markets, and her global experience makes her well prepared for this strategically critical role.”

Lastly, Scania’s Strategy and Corporate Management division and Communications and Sustainability division are also set to be merged to be the Strategy and Communications division, which will be led by Carmo e Silva.

Born in 1977, Carmo e Silva holds a Master of Science in Engineering. She joined Scania as a trainee and has held several strategic and operational positions, most recently as Head of Strategy and Corporate Management.

“Anna has an outstanding ability to connect strategy with real-world execution, and throughout her more than 20 years at Scania, she has consistently demonstrated strong leadership. Bringing strategy and communications together will be an enabler for increased efficiency and alignment across the company. Anna will help us move with clarity, speak with one voice and strengthen Scania’s direction through a period of fast change,” Levin stated.
