Rapid Bus unifies its booking apps into Rapid On-Demand and expands service zones across Klang Valley, enhancing passenger convenience.

Booking Process Faster with One App – Rapid Bus Acting CEO

Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd (Rapid Bus), the operator of the Rapid KL On-Demand services in the Klang Valley, will upgrade its service by streamlining the booking process and expanding its service zones starting in November 2025.

Currently, there are three booking applications: Mobi, Trek Rides, and Kummute. The streamlining will see those three integrated into a single application called Rapid On-Demand in two phases.

Passengers in zones that use Mobi and Trek Rides will start using Rapid On-Demand on November 1, while passengers in zones that use Kummute are expected to use the new app by mid-November. This way, passengers no longer need to use three different apps just because they happen to be in different locations.

“The integration of all applications into one platform, Rapid On-Demand, is an important step in our effort to simplify passengers’ travel experience. Previously, users had to download and use different applications for each zone, which could cause confusion. With this single application, the booking process becomes simpler, faster, and consistent across all coverage areas,” said Ku Jamil Zakaria, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Rapid Bus.

Expanded Service Zones

In addition to the app unification, service zones will also be expanded. The new zones will be covered by 50 vans and combine, among others, the Metro Prima-Taman Botani Kepong (FRIM) stations, the Serdang Raya Selatan-Taman Bukit Serdang stations, the Semantan-Menara DBKL stations, and the Semantan-KTM Segambu stations.

“The merging of zones is carried out to expand service accessibility and enhance connectivity between key areas. This step ensures that users can travel to more destinations more easily without having to change services, thereby making public transport a more efficient and user-friendly choice,” Ku Jamil added.

The Rapid On-Demand application can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, with existing users urged to switch to this app before November 1. Rapid Bus also announced that the RM1 promotional fare will continue and can be paid using Touch ’n Go Card, MyRapid Concession Card, debit or credit card, OKU Smile Travel Pass, or Unlimited Travel Pass (My50, MyCity, MyTourist, Family Pass).
