All Companies Must Settle Summonses within 14 Days from Announcement Date
Eleven goods vehicle operators and seventeen express bus operators had more than 1,200 outstanding summonses among them, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Transport (MOT) through the Road Transport Department (JPJ), on June 25, 2025.
“This announcement is part of MOT and JPJ’s ongoing efforts to enhance road law compliance and ensure the safety of all road users,” wrote the MOT.
Each type of company had its key offences, according to the ministry. Violations by goods vehicle operators include technical offences (e.g., brakes and tyres not meeting specifications, vehicle modifications), driving without a licence, overloading, operating without a valid Motor Vehicle Licence (LKM) or insurance, and speeding.
Among goods vehicle operators, KDEB Waste Management Sdn. Bhd. recorded the highest number of outstanding summonses at 22,017, followed by Mainiza Mantap Sdn. Bhd. (5,108) and Advancecon Machinery Sdn. Bhd. (3,620). Others with high totals include VK Transport, NG Swee Aik Trading, Boon Chin Transport, Nation Dimensions, Syarikat Ehsan Enterprise, NEK Gurun Logistics, Macro Dimension Concrete, and SL Transport & Trading.
Meanwhile, violations by express bus operators include speeding, traffic offences (e.g., constant use of the right lane, queue jumping, mobile phone usage), technical offences, driving without a license, and operating without a valid Motor Vehicle License (LKM) or insurance.
On the express bus side, Cepat Ekspres Sdn. Bhd. led with 540 summonses, while New Hoover Express & Travels (512), Kuala Lumpur-Alor Star Express (477), and Express Senibudaya (390) also featured prominently. Several other companies—including Suasana Edaran, Kurnia Bistari, Zenwan, and Plusliner—each had between 200 and 370 active summonses at the time of the announcement.
The MOT gave 14 days from the announcement date for all offending companies to settle all outstanding summonses at any JPJ State Office or Branch. “Failure to comply will result in stricter enforcement actions, including immediate vehicle blacklisting,” the ministry reiterated.
