Mitsubishi Fuso Debuts AI-Integrated COBODI at Japan Mobility Show 2025

The new Mitsubishi Fuso COBODI smart load body, showcased at Japan Mobility Show 2025, connects design and AI routing for faster delivery.

COBODI Optimises Route Planning and Parcel Loading

Mitsubishi Fuso‘s new concept body, the COBODI (Connected Load Body), made its world premiere at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, held in Tokyo, Japan.

Showcased on a third-generation eCanter, the COBODI, according to the company, is a “unique smart body and digital solution concept” aimed to connect smart, human-centric body design with Wise Systems, an AI-based router and dispatcher. The goal is to optimise route planning and parcel loading.

The COBODI is part of Mitsubishi Fuso‘s exhibition under the theme of “FUTURE TOGETHER: A new era of trucks begins – run together with FUSO“, highlighting the company’s vision for the future of transportation, especially within the commercial vehicles segment.

Created by leveraging cutting-edge technologies, the COBODI aims to reduce the burden on drivers by shortening unloading times, as well as on business owners by enabling more efficient deliveries and productive fleet management.

In a video uploaded by Mitsubishi Fuso Malaysia, it is shown how easy unloading can be using the COBODI. Instead of being loaded from behind like in the conventional way, parcels can be loaded onto the COBODI from the sides. Loaders do not need to enter the COBODI at all, as they can do the loading process from outside the concept box.

The COBODI, Mitsubishi Fuso stated in its official statement, is part of a vision that enhances the efficiency of commercial vehicles and logistics.
