MAN Truck & Bus has introduced the Smart Charging Cube, an exclusive mobile charging option for its electric trucks and buses, in partnership with AW Automotive.
Smart Charging Cube: Exclusive Charging Solution for MAN Customers
Designed for flexibility, the Cube can be deployed at depots, maintenance yards, or remote sites like construction zones, and supports power inputs from 32 A up to 630 A.
Essentially a high-capacity battery with integrated power electronics and a charging station, the Cube offers storage from 500 kWh to 1,100 kWh and supports 1 to 4 charging points per unit, with up to 400 kW output. It can also power an external MCS charging station, delivering up to 1,000 kW.
The system can incorporate solar energy and supports advanced features such as peak shaving, dynamic load management, and bidirectional charging. Available for the first time to MAN customers, the Cube can be purchased, leased, or rented.
