Solid Waste Disposal in Malaysia
Hyva Malaysia, in partnership with Dhollandia, has been given a contract by SWM Environment Sdn Bhd to equip 137 new tipping vehicles.
The tipper mechanisms and specially designed Dhollandia Aluminium Column lifts will be supplied, installed and serviced by Hyva Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
SWM, which manages the storage, collection, transfer, haul- age, intermediate processing and disposal of solid waste in the southern region of Peninsular Malaysia, was looking for a more efficient and user-friendly solution to load and transport bulky waste. Hyva Malaysia had worked closely with SWM on several possible scenarios. The final decision was made to use the Dhollandia VO.10-1000 Column lift.
The column lift, which is capable of lifting up to 1,000kg, is specially designed with a Dump-Through execution: When the truck reaches the unloading area, the column lift can be trans- formed from a lifting platform to a tipper (top hinging) rear door and the content is dumped through to the ground. To improve ground clearance, the platform can be raised an extra 200mm during dumping.
