EV Garbage Truck Delivered to Atsugi City

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Co., Ltd based electric light truck "eCanter" and ShinMaywa Industries, Ltd delivered one EV (electric) garbage collection vehicle to Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The unveiling ceremony was held on March 14, 2022. This EV garbage truck is based on the "Collaboration Agreement" which concluded on May 10, 2021.

MFTBC's "eCanter" with zero emissions does not emit any gas containing carbon dioxide (CO 2) during garbage collection and transportation. It is also suitable for early morning collection work in residential areas meaning it has lower levels of noise emissions due to its engine. The EV garbage truck is charged with electricity generated by using the heat generated and incineration of combustible waste.
