Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Co., Ltd has announced that the introduction of the electric light truck "eCanter" in new industries is expanding.

Fuso Started Opeartions in New Industries

Fuso delivered one "eCanter" to Chugai Pharma Manufacturing Co., Ltd, the first in the healthcare industry, on February 22, 2022. Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd is a production subsidiary of the company, which is affected by the weather in addition to its environmental efforts toward sustainable development goals (SDGs). Fuso introduced the "eCanter" as a vehicle suitable for transporting pharmaceutical raw materials that require management without receiving any damage.

The "eCanter" introduced by the company has a rain shield attached to the rear of the packing box to meet the needs of transporting products even in the rain without impairing the quality of the product when loading and unloading. The vehicle is used to transport pharmaceutical raw materials at the company's factory located in (Kita-ku, Tokyo), and aims to contribute to improving the local environment with clean and quiet driving performance.

In addition, Anritsu Transport Co., Ltd, which transports newspapers introduced one "eCanter". It will be used for the first time in newspaper transportation. The "eCanter" delivered to the company is based in the Tokyo Kita Factory (Kita-ku, Tokyo) of the Yomiuri Shimbun Tokyo Headquarters, near Kanto. They transport newspapers in the area. Anritsu Transport Co., Ltd., which is responsible for the delivery of the newspaper is working on environment-friendly transportation through the active introduction of low-emission vehicles.

It's an initiative for the Yomiuri Shimbun Group to decarbonise newspaper transportation and "eCanter" was chosen for it. There is growing interest in the decarbonisation of transportation in the newspaper industry as well, and the "eCanter", which does not emit any exhaust gas containing carbon dioxide when driving, is a vehicle that contributes to the realisation of decarbonisation of transportation. MFTBC will contribute to the decarbonisation of transportation required by customers through the electric light-duty truck "eCanter".
