Commercial Vehicle Sales in April Up By 20 per cent Against Last April

The new commercial vehicle sales in April 2022 reached 6,398 units as compared to 2021’s 5,337 units.

YTD Commercial Vehicle Sales in April Up 24 Per cent 

Based on the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) monthly report, the new commercial vehicle sales in April 2022 reached 6,398 units as compared to 2021’s 5,337 units, up by 20 per cent with the combined figures with passenger vehicles coming in 3 per cent down on the previous year due to shortage of chips and components, as well as shipment delays, affected some companies.

The Total Industry Volume (TIV) for April was 23 per cent lower than March 2022 (which was at 73,222 units). However, much of the sales had been fulfilled by companies having their financial year ended on 31st March.

The YTD sales for commercial vehicles after April are currently at  25,560 units 20,594 units, which is an increase of 24 per cent.
