Mitsubishi Fuso will provide the second eCanter EV garbage truck with an electric light-duty truck "eCanter" to Furukawa Shinko Co., Ltd.

Second Domestic Delivery of EV Garbage Truck by Fuso

Furukawa Shinko operates a waste collection and transportation business in the Kanto region, mainly in the Tama area of Tokyo. The EV garbage truck delivered this time will collect and transport waste from convenience stores in the Tama area as well as a project commissioned by Fuchu City. It is scheduled to start operation from the end of July 2022.

The "eCanter" does not emit any exhaust gas including carbon dioxide (CO 2) while driving, so it contributes to carbon-neutral waste transportation. The eCanter not only achieves carbon-neutral driving, but also features lower noise and vibration than conventional diesel vehicles. Therefore, in applications such as garbage trucks, which often operate early in the morning, the "eCanter" enables waste collection in consideration of residents and contributes to reducing driver fatigue.

As a company that agrees with SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and seriously thinks about the future of the earth, Furukawa Shinko wants to take action in Fuchu City to lead the industry in the field of decarbonisation. Since its launch in 2017, the eCanter has been highly rated by customers in Japan and overseas. MFTBC will continue to contribute to the business of customers aiming for carbon-neutral transportation by proposing specifications for the eCanter that match the intended use of the eCanter in order to meet the needs of customers.
