BYD to Supply 134 Electric K&M Buses for LADOT

BYD Co., China’s biggest electric vehicle manufacturers secured the lion’s share of a large order of electric bus from USA.

Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) has ordered 134 electric K7M buses from BYD, which the company said was the largest single order of the electric buses to date in USA.

The 30-foot electric buses that will be assembled at their plant in Lancaster, Calif, would be in time for the opening ceremonies of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

BYD delivered 229,506 electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids as well as 231,893 gasoline-powered vehicles globally.
