Monthly commercial vehicle sales volume has increased greatly with most businesses resumed operations.

Commercial Vehicle Sales Volume Down by 51 Per cent

Based on the latest figures released by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), monthly commercial vehicle sales volume has increased greatly from only 10 units registered in April month to 2,504.

However, sales volume in May 2020 was down by 51 per cent from 4,866 units to 2,504 units, as compared to similar corresponding month in 2019. Production volume was also 0.09 per cent down from 2,979 to 264 units.

Meanwhile, the Year-to-Year (TYD), cumulative commercial vehicle sales from January to May 2020 is 11,964 units as compared to 21,445 last year. The cumulative production volume is 7,236 against last year 16,837 units.

MAA said, the sales volume in June would be higher than in May 2020 as businesses resumed after the lifting of restriction for most economic activities.
