Shaz Auto Services Sdn Bhd (SAS）, located in Jalan Haji Sirat near Klang, specialises in truck and bus repair and maintenance and wheel alignment services. The company is a one-stop tyre solution provider for truck tyre service and fleet operators, helping them reduce the downtime of commercial vehicles and increase their business profitability.
Founded in 2011, SAS has become one of the well-known truck repair experts in Klang, thanks to years of hard work and excellent maintenance service performance. Currently, the company has 25 employees that include a service team of 15 technicians.

To improve business standards and provide better service to customers, SAS invested in a set of Josam CV-Liner wheel alignment equipment from Sweden in 2018, which is one of the most advanced wheel alignment systems in the market. The Josam CV-Liner wheel alignment equipment utilises advanced lightweight cameras to provide highly accurate wheel alignment results that could be printed and saved to the PC. SAS owner Muhd Shazni Halim said: “Wheel alignment is one of the most important elements in tyre maintenance as it could save 15 to 20 per cent in fuel consumption and tyre costs. The price of a truck and trailer wheel alignment service is between RM100 and RM1,000, and this depends on the number of wheels set."
He added: "Josam CV-Liner wheel alignment equipment uses camera technology for measurement, which could effectively provide accurate real time wheel alignment adjustment. It is one of the most advanced systems in the market, both in hardware and software. In hardware, the camera battery life is longer and the camera quality and process are also improved. Secondly, the software provides perfect measurement data and effectively reduces the time spent on wheel positioning."
This system is suitable for commercial vehicles such as trucks, trailers, buses and light commercial vehicles. By measuring and adjusting the tyre angle, you could avoid excessive fuel consumption and abnormal tyre wear, while improving comfort for a better driving experience. A properly wheel aligned vehicle would track the road correctly during the driving process and improve driving safety.
Muhd Shazni noted the lack of a truck owner’s priority to have the vehicle wheels properly aligned in Malaysia compared to those in foreign countries. "The awareness of wheel alignment among truck owners in Malaysia needs to improve, unlike the passenger car owners. Every year, a car owner would send his vehicle for a wheel alignment service. This is, however, not the case with domestic truck owners unlike those in foreign countries who are more aware of this aspect of tyre maintenance. There is a need to raise greater awareness about the benefits of tyre alignment among local truck owners."
Extending the tyre life though a wheel alignment service is only one aspect of the benefits to be gained. More importantly, it reduces fuel consumption and this could effectively control vehicle costs. There is also the safety issue. Muhd Shazni said: “If the truck tyres are not well aligned, the vehicle would tend to veer off while being driven. This means that the truck takes more road space during driving and might run onto the lane of other vehicles that are been driven alongside it. This is very dangerous, especially for the other road users. Regular vehicle maintenance and wheel alignment checks are important aspects to ensuring road safety."

穆沙兹尼注意到大马的卡车业者不像国外那般重视卡车车轮定位。“大马人在车轮定位方面的认知还需要继续提高，乘用车方面大多的家庭用户每年都会为爱车进行车轮定位检查，感觉是很自然的事情，但国内卡车司机对于车轮定位的概念则显得非常薄弱。国外在这方面的意识比较强，国内要更多地提升这个意识。”
车轮定位服务，可延长轮胎使用寿命只是其中一个好处。更重要的是节省燃油，而且可有效控制车辆成本，当然还有全性问题。他表示：“卡车的车轮如果定位不正确，车辆在行驶过程中就会跑偏。这意味着卡车在行驶过程中将占用更多路面，甚至会开到旁边车辆的车道上。这非常危险， 所以日常应做好车辆维护和进行车轮定位，确保公路安全。”
