Hengst Introduces Blue.maxx Fuel Filtration

Hengst Blue.maxx Fuel Filtration

Blue.maxx, which Hengst described as a clever fuel filtration system, is the company’s latest product for diesel fuels. It was first introduced at the 2016 IAA Commercial Vehicles and recently made its debut in the Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo 2017.

The requirements for fuel purity, not only in modern common rail drivers, are constantly increasing. With maximum reliability and efficiency under ever stricter emission regulation, especially in European countries, the requirements placed on fuel filtration in commercial vehicles are growing rapidly. Hengst engineers no longer want to consider pre-filers and fuel filters separately, but as a multi-stage, fine-tuned system.

According to the company, the Blue.maxx modular system is setting new standards in fuel filtration. Featuring low weight, due to a consistent lightweight design, and the optimisation of the installation space unites with maximum performance. Its concept of combining pre-filters and main filters are said to have long term advantages including significant improvements in particle filtration, water separation and differential performance along with a reduction in the required installation space. In addition, it is a more environmental friendly solution with 80-per cent higher pump volume and up to 99 per cent water separation efficiency. Tailored to the respective situation, the filter stages could be defined for any application.

Established in 1958, Hengst Automotive, based in Münster, Germany, is an internationally established development partner and OEM supplier in the array of filtration and fluid management to the automotive and engine industry as well as in the fields of industrial filtration applications and consumer merchandise sector. The company is also a leading player in fluid management, crankcase ventilation systems as well as filter systems for oil, fuel, air and cabin air.
