First Dongfeng Truck Still Operating Smoothly in Malaysia

Dongfeng
The First Dongfeng Truck in Malaysia (registered in 2009) is still running smoothly after more than 8 years, plying to and fro between Kuala Lumpur and Kota Baru. The proud owner of this first Dongfeng Bison 260 rigid truck is Pahang Mail Sdn Bhd. It gives credence to the quality, durability and reliability of Dongfeng trucks, supported by Dongfeng’s impeccable after-sales service and easy availability of parts. Today, the Group owns a fleet of more than 80 Dongfeng trucks.

Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (DCVM) is the sole importer, distributor and assembler of the complete range of Dongfeng commercial vehicles in Malaysia, including prime movers, mixer tankers, tippers, sweepers, cargo trucks and special purpose vehicles.

DCVM announced recently the phasing out of the Bison 260 model. The Bison 260 GVW 18-tonne rigid truck would be replaced by two new models, Kingrun 280 and Kingrun 140, in 2018.

Bison 260 was introduced in 2009 as a versatile workhorse. The first unit of the Bison 260 purchased by Pahang Mail was handed over by the then Transport Minister Tan Sri Ong Tee Kiat and it is still in active service.
