Malaysia’s Road Transport Department (JPJ) has intensified its crackdown on commercial vehicle violations, issuing more than 13,000 summonses and confiscating 274 vehicles under the ongoing Special Ops Gempur Trade operation. Launched on 1 September 2025, the enforcement initiative targets unlicensed drivers, expired permits, and other safety breaches in an effort to improve road safety across the country.
JPJ Targets Trucking & Bus Operators in September Enforcement Blitz
The Road Transport Department of Malaysia (JPJ) has issued 13,071 summonses and confiscated 274 commercial vehicles as part of its nationwide Special Ops Gempur Trade operation, which began on 1 September 2025.
According to Muhammad Kifli bin Ma Hassan, Senior Director of JPJ Enforcement, key offences recorded during the operation included:

Driving without a Competent Driving License (CDL)

Expired Motor Vehicle Licenses (LKM)

Lack of insurance coverage

Absence of a Vocational License

Other technical and safety-related violations
“JPJ will continue strict enforcement without compromise against any driver or commercial vehicle owner who fails to comply with road safety regulations,” said Muhammad Kifli during a press conference at the Dengkil R&R (northbound) in Selangor.
The operation is being conducted with support from Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), the National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK), and other strategic partners.
