JoTran’s new name signals a broader role across Johor’s land transport and logistics supply chain, following ROS approval.
Rebranding Does Not Affect Existing Memberships and Relationships
The Johor Sand & Granite Lorry Operators’ Association has officially changed its name to Johor Transport & Logistics Operators’ Association (JoTran) following approval from the Registrar of Societies (ROS) on January 22, 2026.
According to the association’s official announcement, the rebranding reflects the rapid growth of Johor’s logistics industry, “The rebranding change of name is to align with the rapid growth of the logistics industry in Johor and symbolises a modern, systematic identity that encompasses the entire land logistics supply chain within the region,” it said.
Prior to the rebranding, the association’s Malay name was Persatuan Pengusaha Lori Bahan Batuan Johor and it has been changed since to Persatuan Pengusaha Pengangkutan dan Logistik Johor. Its Chinese name has also been updated from 柔佛砂石罗里同业公会 to 柔佛运输与物流同业公会, as well as the official email address, from bahanbatuan@gmail.com to jotran.official@gmail.com.
JoTran said in its official statement that the rebranding does not affect existing memberships, mandates, commitments, and collaborations. It also added that engagements with government agencies and industry partners will continue.
The association is currently led by President Is. Frankie Chia Jee Onn for the 2025-2027 term.
