The leading story in this month’s issue is about KEMB drivers making a clean sweep by winning the first, second and third places in Scania’s ‘A Good Driver’ Competition! These winners drove coaches that are subscribed to Scania Ecolution agreement and achieved the best fuel economy and CO2 emission reduction.

Three exclusive interviews that you should not miss are with the newly appointed Isuzu Malaysia COO Masashi Nuijima on his immediate focus and market strategy, M&T Construction, who gave a good testimonial of the Hohan tipper truck, and with Pickles, who allowed us to find out more about the auction industry and the local market potential.

Positive signs of market recovery continued with the opening of new outlets, relocations of headquarters and handovers. Daihatsu Malaysia unveiled its new 3S Centre Sage Superior (Ipoh) while YonMing has officially moved its headquarters to Sungai Buloh due to the company outgrowing of its current site.

This was followed by MAN who held its largest handover ceremony to date to hand over its Euro V-powered New MAN Trucks to 14 customers across the country. Meanwhile, Isuzu delivered 29 new trucks to MR DIY.

Two vehicle brands are currently also celebrating their anniversary- FAW is 70 and FUSO Canter is 60.

FAW hosted an anniversary lunch with a display of its six trucks, while Hap Seng Trucks Distribution Sdn Bhd, the general distributor of Daimler Trucks in Malaysia, recently announced the winners in the first draw of its FUSO Canter 60th Anniversary contest.

Last but not least, EV continues to be the hottest topic in town, and we feature an article on Volvo Trucks, who have claimed a leading position in this segment.
