Hino Malaysia 11th Total Support Contest

Hino Malaysia held its 11th Total Support Contest in Petaling Jaya, sharpening dealer skills in sales, service, parts and customer support.

Lu & Sons Engineering Emerged as Overall 3S Winner

Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd held its 11th HINO Total Support (TS) Contest in Petaling Jaya on 6 December 2025, bringing together finalists from 11 authorised dealers nationwide. The annual programme continues to function as a key platform for developing dealer capability, encouraging teamwork and reinforcing Hino’s focus on delivering suitable products and Total Support to customers.

The contest forms part of Hino Malaysia’s long-standing dealer development framework. Since its introduction, it has provided a structured environment for dealer staff to apply their knowledge across theory assessments, role-play scenarios and practical tests. The initiative is designed to enhance technical ability, communication and customer engagement, while supporting collaboration within and across dealer teams.

This year’s competition featured five core categories. In the Sales Consultant category, participants articulated the value propositions of Hino vehicles. The category was won by Mohammad Tamizi bin Sazali of Lu & Sons Engineering.

The Service Advisor category assessed how participants explained vehicle issues and addressed customer concerns; the winner was Mohd Nazarizal bin Abd Ghani from Sumai Auto Sdn Bhd.

In the Service Technician category, contestants worked on diagnosing and resolving issues with light commercial vehicles. Charlvyn Gorwy Anak Richard and Francis Anak Beaty, both from Lu & Sons Engineering, were named winners.

The Parts Advisor segment focused on inventory management and proficiency in using Hino systems, with Ting Hock Chuan from Lu & Sons Engineering taking the category award.

In the Customer Success Operation (CSO) category, participants addressed customer complaints through role-play exercises. The category was won by Norazlin Nabilah Binti Zaid of Daihatsu Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

Lu & Sons Engineering emerged as the overall winner in the 3S category, followed by Daihatsu Malaysia and Jong Seng Sdn Bhd.

This year’s contest offered cash rewards and an overseas learning trip for selected participants, with total prizes amounting to nearly RM100,000. The incentives recognise individual and team performance and support a culture of continuous improvement across the dealer network.

Through the Total Support Contest, Hino Malaysia aims to maintain a pipeline of well-trained, customer-oriented personnel who can deliver consistent and reliable service. The initiative underscores the company’s commitment to strengthening its nationwide network and sustaining Total Support across sales, service and after-sales operations.
