Hino Hands Over 70 Trucks to J&T Express

Hino Motors Sales (M) Sdn Bhd (HMSM) handed over 70 Hino 300 Series light-duty trucks to J&T Express (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd recently at the delivery hub of J&T Express, witnessed by the management teams of both companies. HMSM Managing Director Ken Iwamoto presented a mock key to J&T Express Operation Director Nick Xiong.

The vehicles were purchased from Sam Hin Motors Enterprise Sdn Bhd and Eng Kee Commercial Vehicles Sdn Bhd, both acknowledged as reputable authorised Hino dealers in the central and southern regions.

Hino was chosen after a ‘vigorous’ evaluation process involving other brands. The trucks met the company’s requirements, helped by the fact that Hino is a reputable and trusted brand in the Malaysian market for more than 40 years. In addition, J&T Express was said to be impressed by Hino’s commitment in supporting Sam Hin Motors Enterprise and Eng Kee Commercial Vehicles. It also included HMSM’s extensive network of 110 authorised outlets that provide sales, service and spare-parts to customers. HMSM says its ‘excellent’ after-sales service is one of its strengths since the company’s inception in Malaysia in 1977.

“We would like to congratulate J&T Express on its e-commerce express service expansion into South-East Asian countries. We are honoured that J&T Express has entrusted Hino in carrying out its everyday business operation by the purchase of Hino trucks. One of Hino’s principles is to develop products by attaching importance to quality, durability and reliability (QDR) that run parallel to the concept of Hino Total Support,” said Iwamoto.

He stressed that HMSM provided ‘never-ending’ support to its customers. The company was committed to providing J&T Express with comprehensive training to its drivers. The Hino Total Support Customer Center (HTSCC) in Sendayan was seen as a backbone for Hino customers. HTSCC was the only training centre for the commercial vehicle industry in Malaysia and the world’s 1st training circuit operated outside Japan. HTSCC offered an extended range of training courses that included driver familiarisation, eco-driving and safety driving, among others. This was said to be in line with local efforts to reduce road accidents involving trucks and buses. The most important aspect of the centre training was that it was free for Hino customers.

According to Hino, its mission was not only to develop a product that was a perfect fit for each customer’s business but also to ‘Maximise vehicle Up-Time’ and ‘Minimise vehicle Life-Time Cost’ with Hino Total Support.

J&T Express is an express delivery company that applies technology development as its basic system. It was incorporated here in 2018 and has an operating fleet of 200 units with the support of 1,600 employees. The company provides pick-up service with the assurance of high delivery speed. The newly established company has a strong presence in South-East Asia, particularly in Indonesia.
