BYD Expands Commercial Portfolio with T35 Electric Light Truck

BYD has officially launched the T35 all-electric light truck in Singapore, marking an expansion of its commercial vehicle portfolio within the country’s urban logistics and last-mile delivery sectors. The truck, which has already been introduced in markets such as Japan, Mexico, and China, is specifically designed to navigate narrow urban roads, providing practical solutions for express delivery and small business transportation.

James Ng, the Managing Director of BYD Singapore, described the launch as a milestone that sets a new standard for sustainable urban logistics and represents a step forward in redefining how goods move within cities. “This is more than just a truck launch; it represents a step forward in redefining how goods move within our cities,” Ng said, adding that he was proud to work alongside partners who are driving the future of green mobility.

The introduction of the zero-emission T35 aims to support Singapore’s ongoing green transport initiatives as local businesses increasingly shift towards sustainable operations. According to technical data compiled by chinatrucks.org, the vehicle is equipped with BYD’s proprietary 62 kWh Blade Battery, which provides a driving range of 367 km under WLTC conditions.

With a curb weight of 1.76 tonnes and a maximum payload capacity of 1.9 tonnes, the BYD T35 caters to the specific demands of short-distance urban logistics. chinatrucks.org also reported that, before the official launch, the product had already garnered strong interest from local customers, with early feedback praising its range, flexibility, and compliance with local standards.

BYD intends for the T35 to serve as a benchmark for the global electric vehicle transformation while strengthening its position in the high-end electric light truck segment.
