Astra UD Trucks has signed an MoU with Indonesia’s PT Pertamina Patra Niaga to provide fleet maintenance for the country’s energy distribution.
Astra UD Trucks Strengthens Indonesian Energy Security
Astra UD Trucks, the authorised distributor of UD Trucks in Indonesia, has officially entered into a strategic partnership with PT Pertamina Patra Niaga following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding operational support and fleet reliability on January 27, 2026, in Jakarta, Indonesia. The collaboration aims to strengthen the reliability, safety, and sustainability of the country’s energy distribution.
The MoU was signed by Teddy Bariadi, Vice President of Supply & Distribution at Pertamina Patra Niaga, and Bambang Widjanarko, Chief Executive of Astra UD Trucks. Under the agreement, Astra UD Trucks will provide comprehensive support, ranging from standardised maintenance and data-driven technical assistance to the reinforcement of safety protocols for both drivers and vehicles.
Commenting on the significance of the deal, Bambang said, “This partnership reflects Astra UD Trucks‘ long-term commitment to providing reliable commercial transport solutions for national strategic sectors. With integrated after-sales support, certified technicians, and the utilisation of operational data, Astra UD Trucks is committed to ensuring customer fleets are always ready to operate safely and optimally.”
Currently, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga’s commercial vehicle fleets are spread in various strategic regions in Indonesia, including Java, Sumatra, and Eastern Indonesia. The companies stated that this collaboration addresses the increasingly complex challenges of logistics and the rising national demand for energy.
