AMH CNY Celebration Reinforces Public-Private Partnerships
The Association of Malaysian Hauliers (AMH) recently hosted its 2026 Chinese New Year Dinner, bringing together industry leaders, regulators, and partners to celebrate the festive season.
The gathering served as a platform to reinforce the spirit of collaboration between the public and private sectors, which the association views as essential for supporting and advancing Malaysia’s haulage and logistics ecosystem.
Led by AMH President Soo Chee Yeong, the Chinese New Year Dinner was attended by representatives from key government and regulatory agencies, including the Port Klang Authority (LPK), the Road Transport Department (JPJ), the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD), the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA).
The dinner also saw significant participation from the operational side of the industry, with senior representatives from Westports Malaysia and Northport Malaysia in attendance. They were joined by fellow industry associations and stakeholders, including the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM), the Selangor Freight Forwarders & Logistics Association (SFFLA), the Malaysian National Shippers’ Council (MNSC), and Persatuan Pemandu Kontena Selangor (PPKS).
AMH said that the presence of such a diverse group of stakeholders embodied the unity and partnership necessary to drive the industry forward. With 2026 marking the Year of the Horse, the association noted that the symbol serves as a reminder of the strength, resilience, and progress required for the year ahead.
“We look forward to continued engagement and stronger collaboration in the year ahead,” AMH said.
