Road Safety Advocacy Takes Centre Stage at Kota Bharu Terminal
Malaysia’s Road Transport Department (JPJ) conducted a road safety advocacy programme at the Lembah Sireh Bus Terminal in Kota Bharu on February 16, 2026, as part of its Special Operation for Chinese New Year 2026.
The programme saw JPJ officers engage directly with bus drivers and passengers to deliver road safety messages ahead of the festive travel period. It was attended by Deputy Director General of Planning and Operations, Datuk Jazmanie bin Shafawi, alongside JPJ Kelantan Director, Mohd Misuari Abdullah. The state agency’s management team, officers, and staff were also present.
The operation was carried out under the slogan “Drive Smart, Arrive Safe”, with the JPJ urging the public to ensure their vehicles are properly maintained, get sufficient rest, and plan their journeys to guarantee safety throughout the holidays.
