Klang Valley Bus Network Update: 10 Rapid Bus Routes Modified from Feb 14

Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd (Rapid Bus) has announced the second phase of its Klang Valley route restructuring, with the bus operator set to modify 10 services starting February 14, 2026.

This initiative follows the first phase of an operational improvement strategy designed to strengthen network efficiency and optimise resource utilisation across the region.

“This restructuring is not merely a route adjustment, but a strategic step towards building a public transport system that is smarter, more resilient, and prepared to meet future mobility needs,” said Ku Jamil Zakaria, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Rapid Bus.

“By focusing on low-demand routes, Rapid Bus is adopting a more dynamic and data-driven approach to ensure services can evolve in line with changing urban travel patterns,” Zakaria added. He further noted that the initiative lays the foundation for a more flexible, targeted, and integrated operating model.

To maintain travel continuity, Rapid Bus is directing passengers toward alternative transport options, such as the Rapid KL On-Demand service, existing rail networks, and specific MRT feeder buses.

The changes affect several key corridors, including Route 402 from Terminal Maluri to Titiwangsa, where passengers are advised to use the Rapid KL On-Demand service for Titiwangsa, Chow Kit, the Kuala Lumpur CBD, and Maluri, or the Putrajaya rail line.

Route 506 between Putrajaya Sentral and Bandar Utama will see passengers diverted to MRT feeder buses T811 and T812, the Rapid KL On-Demand service, or the Putrajaya, Kajang, and Kelana Jaya rail lines.

For Route 540 from Putra Permai to KTM Serdang, alternatives include the Putrajaya rail line and Rapid KL On-Demand services to Serdang Raya Utara, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, and Taman Equine.

Route 708, which connects Klang to Sunway Pyramid, will be replaced by Rapid KL On-Demand services covering Jalan Meru, Pasar Jawa, Bandar Baru Klang, Seksyen 7, and the KTM Shah Alam area.

Other affected services include Route 801 from Bandar Utama to Metro Prima and Route 802 from Kelana Jaya to Kota Damansara. Passengers for these routes are encouraged to use the Putrajaya rail line, PJ City Bus services PJ05 and PJ06, or MRT feeder buses T805, T807, and T808.

Route T120 from Kompleks Sungai Mas to Taman Mutiara will be supported by GOKL bus services, while Route T602 from Puchong Utama to Saujana Puchong will transition to Rapid KL On-Demand.

Finally, Express Bus (BET) services BET15 and BET17, which connect Selayang and Batu Caves to Putrajaya, will see passengers redirected to the Putrajaya rail line, MRT feeder bus T152, or Rapid KL On-Demand services covering various precincts in Putrajaya and the Gombak area.

Rapid Bus confirmed that it remains committed to a smooth transition and will continue to provide updated information via its official website and social media channels.
