PKTJ Tegal and Hino Indonesia Partner to Boost Industry Competence
PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (Hino Indonesia) has reinforced its commitment to supporting human resource development through a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative called “Link and Match Industry and Education”. The initiative was realised through the donation of a Hino 500 Series J80C running engine to the Road Transport Safety Polytechnic (PKTJ).
The handover ceremony took place at the PKTJ’s campus in Tegal, Central Java, where Erwin Walesa, HCGA CARM Division Head at Hino Indonesia, presented the engine to Bambang Istiyanto, the Director of PKTJ. The donated J80C engine will be utilised as a practical learning tool to help students understand the diesel engine technology widely used within the commercial vehicle industry. The J80C is Hino‘s flagship engine, used in the 500 Series lineup.
“This CSR programme is part of Hino‘s long-term commitment to supporting the development of vocational education. Collaboration with educational institutions such as PKTJ is a strategic step to prepare the young generation who are ready to face the challenges of the transport industry in the future,” Erwin Walesa noted.
The educational institution expressed its appreciation for the contribution, highlighting the engine’s practical value for its students. “We welcome the support from Hino; the presence of the Hino 500 Series J08C engine will provide significant added value to the learning process, especially in improving students’ understanding of commercial vehicle technology used in the field,” said Bambang Istiyanto.
Hino Indonesia stated that this CSR initiative aligns with its efforts in supporting sustainable development in Indonesia by empowering social aspects, particularly in education and competence development. By bridging the gap between industry needs and educational outputs, the company aims to strengthen its contribution in producing competent and competitive professionals.
