Beiben Heavy Truck Unveils 16 New Models Under V5 Cab Brand

Beiben V5 dump truck for infrastructure projects

Nearly 90% of Beiben’s new V5 heavy truck line-up is electric, offering up to 600hp and advanced tech for long-haul and infrastructure.

Beiben Heavy Truck Targets 12,000 Sales with New V5 Electric Line-up

Beiben Heavy Truck launched 16 new models under the newly defined V5 cab brand during its 2026 Partner Conference on January 9, 2026, in a move that signified a decisive shift towards electrification. New energy vehicles account for 14 of the 16 new models released, representing nearly 90 per cent of the line-up.

The V5 series comprises seven tractor units designed for the long-haul logistics market and nine dump trucks targeted at infrastructure projects. The new models feature significant technical upgrades compared to previous generations, with power output increasing from 490 hp to over 600 hp. Battery capacity has also been enhanced to a range of 400 kWh to 600 kWh.

To address the challenge of charging efficiency, Beiben has introduced “supercharging” and “interconnected charging” solutions. The manufacturer claims to be the first in China to develop products featuring these technologies. Select V5 models are even equipped with Huawei‘s megawatt-level supercharging system, capable of a 3.5C charging rate. This system enables batteries to be fully recharged from zero per cent in about 15 minutes, reducing downtime significantly.

Beiben said that it has integrated eight leading technologies into the 2026 models. By using new materials and structures, some vehicles have achieved a weight reduction of over 300 kg, enabling a higher effective cargo load and contributing to lower energy consumption. Inside the cabin, the V5 features a flat floor design and an updated interior layout to improve comfort and reduce fatigue, especially on long routes.

For 2026, Beiben has set an annual sales target of 12,000 units, comprising 7,100 civilian vehicles and 3,700 vehicles for export. The strategy focuses on a scenario-based approach covering five core areas, including coal transportation and infrastructure. For the coal sector, for instance, which is sensitive to load capacity and costs, the new models cover the entire logistics chain from mines to ports.

Beiben said that to achieve its goals, it plans to utilise a network of approximately 100 dealers and collaborate with supply chain partners. This move is part of a broader ambition to build a complete ecosystem for new energy heavy trucks by providing one-stop solutions.
