The team-building programme aims to boost engagement, cohesion ,and collaboration across Hino Malaysia’s workforce.
First Team-Building in A Decade for Hino Malaysia
Hino Malaysia held its first formal team-building programme in a decade late last year, bringing employees together as the company looks to strengthen collaboration and workplace cohesion following a period of workforce expansion.
The two-day programme, held on November 21-22, 2025, combined team-building activities with the company’s annual dinner and was attended by about 170 employees.
The event marked the company’s first structured team-building initiative since 2015. A Hino Malaysia representative told Truck and Bus News that interest in reviving such activities had grown during recent town hall sessions.
“This program is especially important as we have hired a significant number of new employees between 2020 and 2025. It serves as a platform to strengthen collaboration and bridge generational differences, particularly between Gen Z and more experienced employees,” said the representative.

Aside from improving collaboration and bridging generational divides, Hino Malaysia also said that the event aimed to reinforce its internal values, including integrity, contribution, and empathy.
“Ultimately, we expect this initiative to enhance employee engagement, promote digital adoption, and build a more inclusive, cohesive, and future-ready workplace culture,” the representative added.
Hino Malaysia also stated that the combination of structured activities and informal interactions provided an opportunity for employees to connect beyond day-to-day operations, helping to foster a stronger sense of understanding, trust, and communication across the organisation.
