UD Trucks launches the Quester 350 ESCOT in Indonesia with improved efficiency, intelligent ESCOT transmission, and enhanced driver comfort.
UD Trucks Quester 350 ESCOT Not Only Robust but Also Efficient and Sustainable
UD Trucks has officially introduced the new Quester 350 ESCOT 8L Euro 5 (Tractor Head) at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show 2025 earlier this year. The launch marked UD Trucks‘ 90 years of existence globally, as well as its 50th year of presence in Indonesia.
The Quester 350 ESCOT features an 8-litre Euro 5 engine that is lighter and more fuel-efficient, equipped with ESCOT (Efficient Shift Control Transmission) technology, an intelligent automatic transmission introduced by UD Trucks last year. The truck’s design is intended to meet the demands of mid- to heavy-duty logistics transport, which now puts greater emphasis on efficiency and sustainability.

As a country with a logistics sector growth of 6-8 per cent per year, Indonesia requires adaptive, efficient, and reliable commercial transport solutions. More than 70 per cent of goods distribution in Indonesia still depends on land routes, making trucks the backbone of the national supply chain.
The launch of the Quester 350 also signified a long-term synergy between UD Trucks, Astra UD Trucks, and United Tractors (UT), which, over the past five decades, have been strategic partners in developing Indonesia’s transport ecosystem under the banner of Astra Group.

The Quester 350 launch at the GIIAS 2025 was complemented by activities including a product walkaround, customer testimonial sessions for the Quester ESCOT, and a symbolic handover ceremony for customers. Enhancements to the interior features are also part of the strengths of the Quester ESCOT 8L, from power windows and central locking to an ergonomic dashboard designed to improve driver comfort under varying road conditions.
