Syarikat Sabariah Bersaudara Sdn Bhd has made history as the first operator in Sabah to introduce Scania K450CB6X2NI New Bus Generation (NBG) Euro V double-deck coaches.

These state-of-the-art vehicles come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including Advanced Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Blind Spot Warning (BSW), underscoring the company’s strong commitment to safety and innovation.
The keys to the two coaches were officially handed over to Sabarudin Haji Kirinu, Managing Director of Sabariah Bersaudara, by Rini Sabir Mässgård, Dealer Director for the East Region, Scania Southeast Asia.
“These Scania coaches provide enhanced control for the drivers, helping to further reduce the risk of accidents. This milestone sets a new benchmark in road safety, underscoring our unwavering commitment to the safety and comfort of our passengers and all other road users,” stated Sabarudin.
In addition to standard safety features such as the Electronic Braking System (EBS) with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control, and Lane Departure Warning (LDW), the new coaches are fitted with AEB, ACC and BSW, and a speed limiter, all integrated to ensure superior safety and operational reliability.
Built for both performance and sustainability, the Scania NBG offers up to 9 per cent savings in fuel consumption and emissions compared to its predecessor. The new Euro V engine alone contributes up to 7 per cent in fuel savings, depending on engine size, configuration and usage. Complementing this are Scania’s enhanced gearbox range and Scania Cruise Control with Active Prediction, which contribute to further savings.
The design also prioritises passenger and driver comfort. Passengers enjoy a smoother, quieter ride thanks to an improved suspension system and an efficient gearbox that ensures smooth transmission, as well as effective climate control and a low-noise interior. For drivers, the ergonomic layout, reachability and visibility create a safe and comfortable working environment.
Sabariah Bersaudara’s acquisition also includes the Scania Fleet Management System Control Package, giving them full access to Scania’s suite of digital services via the My Scania portal and Fleet app. This allows real-time tracking of vehicle performance, CO₂ emissions, driver behaviour, and service schedules—enabling proactive management and maintenance.
Drivers will further benefit from the Scania Driver app, which allows drivers to view core vehicle data, submit pre-departure checks, track their driving time and performance, view service appointments, and easily locate the nearest Scania workshops.

The acquisition was made possible through the support of Scania Financial Services, allowing the company to focus on business growth and enhancing their profitability.
